Top 5% MLS Sales
2000

Barrie has been involved in real estate since 1974 and earned his membership in the MLS Million Dollar Club in 1977. He earned his Top 5% in MLS Sales from the Edmonton Realestate Board in 2000 and his Remax Hall of Fame in 2005. In addition to his experience as a Realtor, Barrie has been a manager for the Montreal Trust Real Estate Division and a mortgage broker. He attributes his success to his love for the business, his desire to help people reach their goals, hard work, time-saving technology, and his commitment to getting results. This is a combination that has consistently earned him referrals from satisfied clients.

Barrie believe's that for most people, the sale or purchase of a home is a major event in their lives and one that may generate, with the excitement, some apprehension. This is why he thinks it is important to meet face to face with his clients. He would like the opportunity to explain, to encourage questions, to address concerns to remove the mystery, as well as reassure his clients that the process is well in hand and that the closing as planned is on schedule.

His goal for their clients is to ensure a seamless transaction from start to finish.

Claudette Dorion

Claudette administers the business and helps Barrie remain in close contact with his clients and the community. Her background is in business administration and management.

Proud, Active Members of the Community

Raised in Edmonton, Barrie and Claudette have seen the city develop into one of the finest places in the country to live. They have restored a turn of the century home and garden in Old Strathcona, one of Edmonton's historical neighbourhoods. It's a lifestyle they love, whether exploring Edmonton's extensive parkland by bicycle or visiting the shops and galleries on nearby Whyte Avenue.

Barrie Burden and Claudette DorionBarrie and Claudette are a familiar sight in their community on warm summer days, sitting together with clients on their open-air veranda or visiting with neighbours, friends, and family. Long walks through the trails of pristine Millcreek Ravine in winter and summer with their loveable six year old Shih Tzu/Bichon, Bentley provide a favourite pastime for these very active real estate professionals.

Peace garden unites neighbours

Claudett'e love of gardening and interest in design and garden architecture has landed her front yard garden in the Edmonton Journal - Welcome to my Garden series written by Misty Harris. It was awarded 2nd place in the Ornamental Front Garden Competition in 2003 by the Edmonton Horticultural Society Garden Competition and 3rd place by the City of Edmonton Front Yards in Bloom city wide competition in 2003.

On most warm, sunny days when she is not in her office, she can be seen tending to the needs of this show stopper she shares with her trusted friend and gardening neighbour Randall Woudstra.

Barrie and Claudette celebrate Canada Day each year by planting a Canadian Flag in front of every home in their Millcreek neighbourhood in Old Strathcona. As proud Canadians, this is their way of giving back to the community that has made their success possible.
